Lucknow Super Giants bowling coach Andy Bichel said it was KL Rahul's sublime century that helped LSG inflict a 16-run defeat on former IPL champions Mumbai Indians on Monday. KL Rahul posted his second hundred of the season but Lucknow lost wickets and could not build partnerships, observed the former Aussie pacer. (Video and images: IPL)

00:03 I just wanted to ask you about [INAUDIBLE]
00:22 was able to strike at a [INAUDIBLE]
00:25 within 160, while the rest of the batting company
00:28 had a strike at the 90 feet.
00:30 What was the difference?
00:31 I mean, why didn't others find it?
00:34 Yeah, it was interesting, isn't it?
00:36 Just needed that partnership.
00:37 And we couldn't find someone to get a partnership going
00:39 with him.
00:40 We had a change in the order as well,
00:41 with Stornis to come up the order
00:43 and try and inject a little bit of that.
00:44 And I thought they bowled particularly well to him,
00:47 even though he was out to the short boundary.
00:49 So it was a few little things like that
00:52 sort of playing their part.
00:53 But KL was just sublime in everything he did.
00:55 He played well off the front foot.
00:57 He opened the face up when they were bowling wide to him.
01:01 He pulled the ball really well into the gaps,
01:03 and also for six.
01:04 So I thought he played the dimensions of the ground
01:06 really well.
01:08 It would've been nice, I think, from our point of view,
01:10 if we just had someone else get a partnership there,
01:12 just to push that total up around 185.
01:14 I reckon we were good for that, because we finished quite well
01:18 with Aush in the end.
01:19 But there was a few overs there.
01:21 We let ourselves down, I feel, in the middle.
01:23 We lost too many wickets.
01:24 And getting that partnership to support KL,
01:27 who someone was playing really well at the other end.
