00:05 Since Victoria, the company's CEO, is out of town, Nate thinks he has a better shot

00:12 He puts on a front of genuine happiness and lavishes Nikki with praise for her job.

00:17 Nikki, however, is a sharp lady and can see through his deception.

00:22 She is well aware of his intentions and has zero faith in him.

00:26 This strengthens her belief that Nate is trying to get an edge over Victoria.

00:31 Nate is not discouraged by Nikki's skepticism and makes the decision to be truthful about

00:36 his goal to co-manage Newman Enterprises in the years to come with Victoria.

00:41 He admits that he has had a difficult time dealing with the Newman family's lack of

00:45 trust and asserts that all he wants is to be of assistance to the business and to establish

00:53 However, Nate is taken aback when Nikki asks him directly whether he loves her daughter,

01:17 of her daughter, Ava, when Victor gives her the opportunity to work for Newman Enterprises.
