00:31 Mga if I was in grade 2, grade 3, grade 4.

00:34 Nag-varsity ako ng elementary, mga around '85, '86.

00:37 Parang passion mo lang siya. May hawak ang bola, laro ka lang.

00:40 No, no competitive basketball tournament.

00:43 Alam mo na sa provinsa before, wala talaga mga tournaments like this here in Manila.

00:48 I ended up playing for Adamson Falcons year 1990 after I graduated high school.

00:53 From Notre Dame also.

00:54 So, naging varsity din ako ng high school, elementary to high school.

00:58 And then I was discovered by the late Angel Patrimonio, the father of the captain, Alvin.

01:04 Kasing dad niya is from my province. We're the same province in South Cotabato, in Coronadal.

01:10 It was, again, a good experience for me as a student-athlete.

01:13 Kasi, mismong ang presidente ng school namin nun, si Father Rolando De La Goza.

01:18 Siya mismo nag-enroll sa mga basketball players.

01:20 Naintindihan niya yung student-athlete.

01:23 Sa amin lang is, again, naalagaan kami ng maganda.

01:25 It was my dream to become a pro someday.

01:27 Nung drafting no '95, and I was being picked by Sankist Orange Juicers as third overall.

01:32 Yun na yung pinaka-brightest and memorable moment.

01:35 Kasi yung pinaka-dream kong maging pro.

01:37 And I never thought that I would last for 13 years as a pro.

01:40 And I represent my country for so many times in international competitions.

01:44 Bonus na. It's because of the third determination and the hard work.

01:48 I never thought na nandito ko ngayon running this league, trusted by Senator.

01:52 Malaking difference kasi.

01:53 When you're a player, just, again, concerned about yourself.

01:56 Preparing before the game, daily routines.

01:59 Dito ngayon sa new role ko as commissioner, napakalaking adjustment.

02:03 Malami ka nang inintindiin yan sa rili mo.

02:06 We have 26 teams.

02:07 Aside from that, we have politicians to deal with.

02:10 We have basketball crazy fans to deal with.

02:12 I'm still enjoying it 'cause it's basketball.

02:15 I will never stop as long as there's basketball.
