00:00 take you live to New Jersey where former President Trump is about to exit his
00:06 vehicle as you can see in the foreground of the shot there. Trump Force One. His
00:10 Boeing 757, former President Trump will be boarding it shortly for the short
00:16 trip to Washington DC where he's going to face some very big charges, four
00:21 criminal counts President Trump is facing brought by the prosecutor Jack
00:27 Smith including a count to defraud the United States. President Trump exits the
00:32 vehicle let's cross to Washington DC where our US correspondent Martha Kellner
00:37 is standing by. Martha, President Trump is walking up the steps to his plane.
00:43 Yeah a bit of a sense of deja vu here isn't there? Donald Trump's third
00:49 indictment in just the past four months, his second federal indictment. There he
00:54 is boarding his Boeing 757, his private plane. Trump Force One, you can see
01:00 there the motorcade. He's also accompanied as he always is, as all
01:04 former presidents are, by his Secret Service detail. They'll be with him on
01:09 board that plane. It's just a short 35-minute flight to Washington DC. He'll
01:15 land at Reagan National Airport. They'll then be rolling road closures around the
01:21 nation's capital in order to safely get the former president from the tarmac at
01:27 Reagan Airport to the E. Barrett Pettyman courthouse which is where he will be
01:34 processed, criminally processed, and where he will enter a plea to those four
01:39 charges that are leveled against him. It's the first time that he will hear
01:44 those charges read out in court. Just to give you an idea of the procedure here
01:51 at the courthouse, when Trump arrives we're not entirely sure which of the
01:57 entrances at the courthouse he'll be brought through. There are four possible
02:01 routes in. I've just taken a walk around the perimeter and to me it seems most
02:06 likely that he'll be driven into this courthouse. That's the way he got into
02:11 the courthouse in Miami when he faced his charges down there. One side of the
02:17 road is blocked off by reinforced steel trucks, the other side blocked off by
02:23 police officers, so it seems most likely that we won't necessarily see Donald
02:29 Trump outside that courthouse but certainly inside he will be
02:33 fingerprinted, he won't have his mugshot taken, he will then go up to the second
02:38 floor of the courthouse where he'll appear in front of a magistrate judge.
02:41 It's not the trial judge who will oversee this trial when it does eventually
02:47 go to court, it's a magistrate judge. Donald Trump will be represented in
02:52 court by his attorney John Laureau. A big moment for him and a big moment for the
02:58 legal history of this nation as well coming up.
03:01 You're right, a huge moment in the legal history of the United States. Martha
03:06 Kellner, I do appreciate that.
