Sunak: We’re shaking-up alcohol duty to back British pubs

Rishi Sunak said the centrepiece of the alcohol duty reforms is “backing British pubs”. Speaking during a visit to the Great British Beer Festival in west London, the Prime Minister said: “Now that we've left the EU, we can ensure that the tax we pay for beer on draft in pubs is lower, less than the tax we pay for beer in the supermarket.” Report by Covellm.
