Labour: Alcohol duty shake-up may push pubs over the edge

Labour have described the government’s alcohol duty shake-up as the “latest example of the government clobbering hard-working families.” As part of new rules effective from today, the amount of sales tax on alcoholic drinks will vary depending on the percentage of alcoholic content.
