The band was formed in Adelaide in 1965 as "Down The Line". In 1967 he changed the name to "Zoot" and moved to Melbourne. Played covers of leading British beat groups of the time . Then they gradually evolved into a heavier format . With the arrival of Rick Springfield in 1969, moving towards increased severity , but previous success they have not been achieved. The band broke up in May 1971. Bass guitarist Beeb Birtles in 1975 became the founder of "Little River Band", Rick Springfield and later had a successful solo career .
