Liverpool's Director of Public Health is calling for a ban on disposable vapes. Professor Matt Ashton said despite vapes being less harmful than traditional cigarettes, they are by no means a preferred alternative for non-smokers. The comments came amid calls from the Local Government Association to prohibit the sale of disposable vapes and efforts by Liverpool Council to develop its own tobacco and vaping control policy.
