Sinopsys: In S. Forino, during the war, Carla had a daughter, Gia, from a relationship with three different American soldiers, who know none of the existence of the others. Each of the three soldiers, sure of being her father, sent Carla a check for over twenty years with which she created a good position by keeping her daughter in a Swiss boarding school. And, to save her reputation from the villagers' rumors of her, the woman made believe that she was the widow of an American captain to whom she gave the name of Campbell. The sudden return of the three Americans to the village embarrasses Carla who, after some initial difficulties, manages to temporarily fix things, seeing and saying goodbye to the three guests separately.
