Adding Images and Icons to Your Keynote Slides

00:00 Hello there! So in this video I'm going to show you how to import a picture and frame it

00:04 differently in a keynote file. So as you can see on your left I'm still working with the

00:09 presentation we've made in the previous video but now we're going to make it look very nice

00:14 with some pictures. So all you have to do is head to a page where you can see a placeholder

00:19 looking like this. We highly encourage you to not create your old placeholder in our template

00:26 just to make sure that it stays very consistent but you can use the one that we provided you

00:31 like this. So to change a picture all you have to do is click the little icon in the corner here

00:36 and then from your computer use the file you prefer let's say this one and there it is. So

00:43 we encourage you using pictures that suit the color of the section you're working in so in

00:48 this case purple and also a picture that suits the subject you're covering. In this case this

00:54 picture could be good in a presentation talking about technology or directed to a developer team.

01:01 If you want to frame your picture differently let's say you want the screen to appear bigger

01:06 what you can do is right click on the picture and click edit mask. This way you're going to

01:12 see all of what you're missing in the picture and just move it around like this. You can also make

01:17 it bigger and you can make it smaller just make sure that if you make it smaller you don't make

01:24 any empty spaces like this it's gonna make your page a bit unbalanced. So I'm gonna make it a bit

01:30 bigger maybe a bit bigger and then move it like this and then when it's done you click done and

01:36 that's it. There is also the option where you can click the picture and head to the format panel

01:42 and go into image and then edit mask it will do the same thing. Let's say you want to replace

01:48 your image what you can do is right click and do replace image and then choose another one from

01:54 your computer or again you can go in the format panel and click replace. If you want to add

02:02 another type of visual let's say icons like in this page here two little icons that can be changed

02:08 it's the exact same path so you click it and then on your computer you find the icon you like let's

02:15 say I like this one here and then let's say I like this one there you go. The only thing we require

02:22 you to do is use an icon that fits the color of your chapter in this case here we're in a green

02:27 chapter so let's take an icon that fits those color. If you're looking for any of those assets

02:34 let's say stock picture or icons we made you a big folders with a lot of them so we're going to link

02:40 them in the description below or in some other documentation we're going to provide you and that's it!
