Rahul Gandhi Defamation Case: Gujarat High Court Denies Stay On Congress Leader’s Plea On Modi Surname Case

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will remain disqualified as a Lok Sabha Member of Parliament (MP). On July 7, Gujarat High Court upheld the order of the Sessions Court and rejected Gandhi’s plea to put on hold his conviction in a defamation case. The matter relates to Gandhi’s 2019 Modi surname remark. Rahul Gandhi will now have to approach the Supreme Court with his request.
