Revealed as Fascinating Small Crossover with Jeep DNA, New Fiat 600e Small Crossover 2024

New 2024 Fiat 600e Starts at $39,000 and Gets 249 Mile Electric Range, PHEV Will Follow
The new Fiat 600e is powered by a 154 hp electric motor with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain to be added here and later.

The new Fiat 600e is finally here and will offer more space, more range and more doors for Fiat customers who want to switch to the electric motor, the big brother of the 500e. Prices for the new crossover, available to order from 5 July, start at €35,950 (USD 39,176 at current exchange rates) in Italy.

For the last generation of the 600, Fiat decided to start with the all-electric model, which comes equipped with a 54 kWh battery. That's enough to give the EV a range of 249 miles (400 km) on the WLTP cycle.

It also has a 100 kW charging system that helps quickly recharge its battery. Fiat claims the 600e can be charged up to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes at the fast-charging station. The new model also comes with a built-in 11 kW charger for slower sockets that can fully charge the battery in less than six hours.

For now, the 600e is offered with a single drivetrain that delivers 154 hp (115 kW/156 PS) to the road, although Fiat says a plug-in hybrid version will be launched at a later date. That's enough to accelerate the crossover to 100 km/h in a comfortable nine seconds.

A much wider range of colors is offered in the interior, which Fiat describes as the first compact vehicle to be offered with “chromotherapy” LED lighting. This means owners can choose from eight accent lighting colors that can be mixed and matched in curated combinations to shine in different parts of the cabin. In total, drivers will be able to choose from 64 different combinations to find the one that suits them best.

The 2024 Fiat 600e also comes with various USB and USB-C ports, as well as wireless charging for mobile devices. With the help of an app on this device, drivers will be able to remotely control features such as climate control, horn, lights and locks.

Drivers will be able to control their vehicles via the 10.25-inch infotainment display, which is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation is handled by a Tom Tom powered GPS system that can provide drivers with information about things like parking and charging. A seven-inch screen behind the steering wheel informs the driver of their speed and more.
