Train travel: Plans to close most railway ticket offices

Soon busy rail hubs or top tourist attractions may become the only train stations in England to have manned ticket offices. It's thought a public consultation may be launched in the coming weeks into the closure of rail ticket offices, as bosses at rail operators say they want to redeploy staff as part of modernisation plans.
