Ford Motor Prepares for Another Round of Layoffs
  • 10 months ago
Ford Motor reportedly plans to implement another round of layoffs in the coming weeks, primarily targeting salaried workers in the United States. The layoffs are part of Ford's ongoing efforts to streamline operations and cut costs. The exact number of affected employees has not been disclosed yet. The job cuts are expected to impact various divisions of the company, including the gas-engine side of the business, as well as the electric vehicle and software division. This move follows previous layoffs in August 2022, which affected around 3,000 white-collar and contract employees, and the announcement in February 2023 of a 3,800-person reduction in Ford's European workforce. As of now, there has been no official comment from Ford regarding the upcoming layoffs.
