UN urges Sudan neighbors to keep borders open as exodus tops 500,000
The head of the UN's refugee agency Filippo Grandi urges Sudan's neighbors to keep their borders open despite security worries as the number of people fleeing the conflict tops 500,000. In an interview with AFP, he warns that the two-month-old war threatens to spread insecurity in the "fragile" nations that border Sudan.
