Here's our 'PROMO TRAILER' for Marvel Studios' series SECRET INVASION (2023) EPISODE 1 (More Info About This Video Down Below!)
The inspiration behind this video:
The MCU took a very different approach with the Skrull in Captain Marvel, introducing them as refugees who had been displaced and nearly wiped out by the Kree. Introducing the Super-Skrull in Secret Invasion as the leader of the Skrull rebellion fighting against Nick Fury and humanity makes his connection to established characters like Nick Fury and Talos more poignant. It could also be setting him up to be a major player in the MCU's future.
Given the Super-Skrull's connection to the Fantastic Four, this could be the perfect opportunity to introduce him into the MCU while also laying the breadcrumbs for the impending introduction of the Fantastic Four. If Gavik does become the Super-Skrull by the end of Secret Invasion and survives, he could be imprisoned or go into hiding if Fury manages to defeat these invaders. This could prime the Super-Skrull to plot a larger attack on Earth, with the Fantastic Four proving to be the only ones powerful enough to defeat him since the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy are gone. Secret Invasion could have major implications for the MCU, with characters revealed to have been Skrull the entire time, but it could also set up a dangerous future for Nick Fury and the new generation of heroes.
