A heroic police officer was filmed on their own dashcam performing a daring rescue of a kitten on the side of a busy highway.

The police officer in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, is seen pulling over on an intersection of a busy highway and approaching the terrified kitten saying "Hi, baby. You’re OK."

Officer Estrada, a Nevada State Trooper, manages to round up the terrified kitten after a back and forth only inches away from traffic.

After safely rescuing the kitten, Officer Estrada took the animal back to the safety of the police vehicle.

Nevada State Police tweeted: "Last week, Nevada State Police received calls about a kitten on the on-ramp to a busy highway in Las Vegas.
