Police investigate after man stabbed to death at a bus stop in Hockley, Birmingham

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death at a bus stop in Birmingham.

Police and paramedics dashed to Hunters Road near Hockley Circus in the city at 8pm on Monday (12/6) but the victim died at the scene.

A woman, 37, was arrested on suspicion of murder a short time later, along with a man, 43, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Detective Inspector Michelle Thurgood, of West Midlands Police, said: “We're working hard to establish exactly what happened and why, and really need to hear from anyone
who was in the area at the time.

"We believe there were people in the area at the time who saw what happened but have not yet been in touch with us.

“It’s vital that they call us as soon as possible."

The dead man’s family have been informed and forensic teams were photographed conducting a fingertip search of the scene on Tuesday, June 12)
