00:00 For the most flattering eye makeup, you have to take into account your eye shape.
00:05 I'm Christina Henry.
00:07 I'm going to show you five different eye makeup looks for five different eye shapes.
00:15 Hooded eyelids or bedroom eyes as we call them, very gorgeous.
00:19 We want to go in with a medium color like a taupe shade all over the lid.
00:23 Looks very natural, enhances the crease without looking over the top.
00:29 You have to be careful with using dark color all the way up because that can emphasize
00:34 the shape.
00:35 Okay, so now we're going to enhance the lash line.
00:38 So I'm going to go in with an expresso shade, pulling that shape up to really kind of open
00:43 the eye shape beautifully.
00:45 And now I'm just going to blend the harsh lines.
00:49 We finish the look with a coat of black mascara and make sure that you do a waterproof mascara
00:56 because the eye makeup tends to move around with the hooded shape, so we want to be very
01:00 careful with that.
01:01 So a gorgeous daytime look for Cassie.
01:06 So I'm working with Jenny who has gorgeous mono lid.
01:10 So the first most important thing we have to remember with the mono lid is to apply
01:14 some eye shadow primer.
01:16 So I'm applying the primer under the eyes as well.
01:19 I'm going to start with a contour shade just on the corners of the eyes and then bringing
01:26 it inwards.
01:27 So almost like a V on the end of the eye, blending it into the eyes.
01:33 We really want to emphasize a crease that's really not there, so we're creating a crease
01:38 for her.
01:39 I'm also going to pull the dark color from the top all the way underneath as well, starting
01:44 a little thicker on the corners and then getting lighter as we go in.
01:50 Now I'm going to add a medium shade just all over the eyelid.
01:54 It's a lighter goldish tone, and we can bring that color also into the corners of the eyes
01:59 to add as our highlighter.
02:01 Now to get some more definition, I'm going to go in with a black eye pencil.
02:07 I'm pulling the corners out with my angled brush, and it's really giving her this gorgeous
02:13 open shape.
02:15 Now I'm going to add a little highlighter just underneath her brow bone.
02:18 So she already has gorgeous eyelashes on, which look really great, by the way, with
02:23 a mono lid.
02:24 So now I'm just going to curl them to enhance them, and again, this really helps to open
02:29 up the eye shape.
02:36 I'm working with Melissa today, who has rounder, protruding eyes, so I'm going to show you
02:40 how to play those up.
02:41 So I've already applied a primer all over her eyelids.
02:44 We want to visually push the eye back using a nice contour shade.
02:49 We don't have to create the crease.
02:51 It's already there, so we're really just enhancing what we have.
02:56 And I would definitely try and go for more of a matte shade as opposed to anything with
03:01 a shimmer, because again, that will highlight the area.
03:05 So this eye shape definitely benefits from eyeliner.
03:07 I'm going all across the lash line in the same thickness, and I'm also going to wing
03:12 it out, and this further enhances the almond shape that we're trying to create.
03:17 Then I'm going to go in with some mascara, again, emphasizing the outer corners to enhance
03:23 the almond shape and wing it out a little.
03:26 And there she goes.
03:27 She looks absolutely gorgeous.
03:31 I'm working with Anna, who has a downturn eye shape, so I'm going to begin by applying
03:35 a highlight all over the eyelids.
03:38 We're trying to visually lift the eyes with makeup, so we definitely want to focus on
03:43 pulling out the corners just like this.
03:45 So I'm going in with a darker color on the outside corners of the eyes, blending upwards
03:54 to create a wing shape.
03:56 Now I'm just going to blend out any harsh lines with a fluffy brush.
04:02 Now I'm going to go in with a liquid eyeliner pen in a dark brown shade.
04:06 I'm starting off really thin on the inner eyes and going thicker as I get out.
04:13 I'm doing an upward wing shape.
04:16 Now let's blend that in a little.
04:21 Also when we're applying our mascara, try and focus most of your mascara onto the middle
04:26 of the eyelashes, helping to open and pull out the shape.
04:36 I'm working with Anna, who has deep set eyes, so I'm going to begin by adding a highlight
04:41 shade all over her eyelid.
04:43 We want to stay away with colors that are too dark because this definitely recedes the
04:48 eye, and we're trying to pull the eye forward.
04:51 We're bringing the color into the inner corners as well.
04:54 And she already has a lovely natural crease, so we don't really need to go too dark over
04:58 there.
04:59 Then I'm going to follow on by applying a cake liner across the top lash line.
05:06 We finish the look by two coats of mascara, and there we have it.
05:09 She looks great.
