A new café for those living with dementia - and their loved ones - has opened in Didsbury.

Hosted by Belong Morris Feinmann - the dementia specialist primarily caring for the Jewish community - the dementia café runs once a month and gives guests a chance to enjoy a range of experiences, form new friendships, and seek support.

The programme includes arts and crafts workshops, pet therapy, specialist exercise classes and visits from musical performers.

Belong Admiral Nurses are also on hand to provide a dedicated dementia service, helping dementia patients and their loved ones manage a future living with the disease.

We went down to speak to people involved in the cafe and hear more about its benefit to the community.
