The Mitsubishi Xpander Cross belongs to a class of vehicles being marketed as seven-seat subcompact SUVs. These vehicles are essentially raised MPVs, and in this case, what we have is a higher-riding Xpander.
The model received a midlife update recently to better compete with either all-new or facelifted peers. The powertrain combo of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a four-speed automatic remains amid the shift to CVTs by other vehicles in this segment. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
