Scottish wildcat kittens born: New litter of critically endangered baby wildcats born in Scotland
  • 11 months ago
Adorable photos show a newborn litter of critically endangered Scottish wildcat kittens.

First-time mum Talla gave birth to the litter at Wildcat Wood in Highland Wildlife Park, on April 2.

The brood will be on show for the public to visit, unlike other wildcats which are part of a breeding project.

A total of nine wildcats live at the centre including Katrine, Staffa, Blair, Talla and her five kittens.

Talla was born there in 2020 and a video showed the kittens playing with a plastic crate, on May 16.

The kittens are due to receive their first health check soon where expert vets will be able to determine their sex.
