Lacuña vows to revive Manila Central Post Office after devastating fire
  • 11 months ago
Mayor Honey Lacuña said Monday the Manila City government will work with the national government to restore the fire-ravaged Manila Central Post Office (MCPO).

Addressing concerns that the historic building might face further harm from future construction projects, Lacuña emphasized that the MCPO holds significant cultural value.

She mentioned that the MCPO was officially recognized as an important cultural property in 2018, and its surrounding area has been designated as a "heritage zone."
