It's a branch, just a branch... It's a LEAF-TAILED GECKO hiding in plain sight!

Now, this video takes the phrase, "Hiding in plain sight" to a whole different level.

Surfacing from Sevilla, Spain, this footage kicks off with Miguel Bernabeu Meana attempting to feed his exotic pet lizard but there appears to be no trace of it and the only thing on display is a sizeable branch.

But then, all of a sudden, two yellow dots (eyes) appear on the branch, and thanks to a little zooming, it is revealed that the reptile in question has blended itself with the woody structure via its exceptional camouflage skills.

"We're an exotic pets company based in Sevilla; the animal in this video is a leaf-tailed gecko (Uroplatus sikorae)," Miguel told WooGlobe. "They use their extreme camouflage to avoid predators and for hunting. We fed him a cockroach and that's how they attack."
