Wrestlers Protest: Late Night Scuffle At Jantar Mantar As Protesters Alleged Delhi Police Manhandled Them; Vinesh Phogat & Others Suffer Injuries

On May 3 night, wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi alleged they were manhandled by drunk cops. The wrestlers alleged that they were attacked by cops when they wanted to bring beds to the protest location. Asian and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Vinesh Phogat broke down after the incident. She said, “If you want to kill us, then kill us.” Police force has been deployed at the protest site. India’s top wrestlers including Vinesh Phogat, Sakshee Malikkh, Bajrang Punia among many others have been protesting in Delhi. The wrestlers are protesting against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. They have accused him of sexual harassment. The Supreme Court of India will hear their petition on May 4. Watch the video to know more.
