बाबा साहब भीमराव आंबेडकर के जन्मदिन से दो दिन पहले 12 अप्रैल को मध्यप्रदेश में शिवराज सिंह चौहान की कैबिनेट ने ट्रांसजेंडर्स को आरक्षण दे दिया, लेकिन ओबीसी कोटे में शामिल करके। राज्य की ओबीसी सूची में 93 जातियां रही हैं, कैबिनेट के फैसले के बाद किन्नरों के शामिल होने से अब यह संख्या 94 हो गई है। मतलब ये भी हुआ कि ट्रांसजेंडर अब नौकरियों और शिक्षण संस्थानों में प्रवेश के लिए मध्यप्रदेश में ओबीसी को निर्धारित 14 प्रतिशत कोटे के तहत आवेदन कर सकते हैं।


On April 12, two days before Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's birthday, Shivraj Singh Chouhan's cabinet in Madhya Pradesh gave reservation to transgenders, but by including them in the OBC quota. There were 93 castes in the OBC list of the state, after the decision of the cabinet, now this number has increased to 94 with the inclusion of eunuchs.
