A high-profile defamation case brought by Lachlan Murdoch against online news site Crikey has been dropped. It was over a story published last year about hearings into the insurrection at the US capitol in 2021. Mr Murdoch’s lawyer has issued a statement taking a further swipe at the media company and claimed he would have won the case.
