MARIA and Alin got together after meeting on TikTok, but despite being in love, the pair get a whole heap of judgement as a mixed weight couple. Speaking to Truly, Alin explained: "There were definitely toxic people. I had a very good friend ask me, 'How can you even be with her?'". It's not just friends and family who have strong opinions about the relationship, online, Maria and Alin receive comments such as, "She's so ugly, how can someone like you be with a girl like her?". Maria admitted: "I get DMs from people, they tell me I should die and that they don't understand why someone deserves to live when they're fat like I am." Today, the couple will be having an honest discussion with Alin's friend, Fabian, who was surprised when Maria and Alin got together. Celebrating their love story, Maria said: "I really hope that mixed weight couples will be more normalised in the future."
