Millions of phones across the UK will emit an alarm sound and vibrate at 3pm on Sunday 23rd April in a nationwide test of the country’s new public alert system. The system is intended to be used in life-threatening situations such as floods and wildfires. The message will only be received on 4G and 5G mobile phones. Report by Jonesia.
