Campaigner and Infected Blood Inquiry core participant, Jason Evans, has said he’s cautiously optimistic about the interim report being released today. The report comes decades after HIV and Hepatitis viruses were spread to patients through contaminated blood transfusions between 1970 and 1991, which has been dubbed ‘the worst treatment disaster in the NHS’.
