A man and a woman have died after a severe fire ripped through a house in the early hours of Monday morning. Emergency services were called to Croxdene Avenue in Bloxwich. Despite the efforts of medics, they were both pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are now examining the cause of the fatal blaze.

Four fire engines and 18 fire fighters responded to a call out to another house fire in Sutton Coldfield on Monday morning. The blaze badly damaged the roof of the semi-detached bungalow. No casualties have been reported.

Luxury construction company Vantage & Co in Solihull has transformed a Jewellery Quarter historic gem which had become a ruin. It is just one of two Georgian villas remaining in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. Now the property has been restored to its former glory.
