Assam: RPF personnel dies after being hit by a moving train in Dibrugarh

In a horrifying incident, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel died after being hit by a moving train at Dibrugarh Town Railway Station on March 31. The deceased was identified as Havildar Dhankumar Hajong. Sub-Inspector of Government Railway Police, Mrinal Deka, said, “The deceased RPF jawan has been identified as Havildar Dhankumar Hajong. We are probing the incident.” Officials said that prima facie it appears to be an accident. Things will however become clear only after investigation.
