During a recent interview with China Central Television, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said Singapore can play the roles of broker and pioneer in the negotiation of Version 3.0 of the China-Asean Free Trade Agreement (FTA), paving the way for further cooperation projects on a larger scale.

The first round consultation of the new version of the FTA was launched on Feb 7, 2023.
