Not an edit. The Dutch band "Mayfly" (the band started as "Guruperide", a name formed by the band members' initials) was founded in 1970 and disbanded in 1975. The band released one lp, "Mayfly" and six singles: Blue Sofa/Orphan Girl, Topless Bertha/Dawn Of An Old Man's Life, It's Illusive/Orphan Girl, Quite A Surprise/Signed By The Time, Skew Eyed Jimmy/Second Hand Dream and the last one was Johnny/From Now On. Producer Martin Duiser was the a$$hole who came up with the idea of releasing the total failure "Johnny". Someone put it a bit gentler than me: "'Johnny' from late 1974 was the last straw. A noisy nobody and an idea of their young producer Martin Duiser. Mayfly performed in Van Oekel's Discohoek. To tease them, director Wim T. Schippers prominently portrayed a few young ladies. It will have been allowed to live in the tipparade for a while because of this performance. For Ariola, the measure was full. Without a contract, Mayfly broke up in 1975." http://soul-xotica.blogspot.com/2011/04/
