Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on March 11 said that the tenure of the Karnataka Assembly will end on May 24, 2023 and elections must be completed before that. Rajiv Kumar said, “The term of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly is till 24th May 2023. So, the new Assembly must be in place, and elections must be completed before that.” “For the first time, we are going to provide in Karnataka the facility to all 80+ and PwD voters, if they so desire, to vote even from their homes. There is a form 12D which will be available within 5 days of the notification so that any 80+ or PwD voter, desirous of voting from home, can be facilitated,” he added further.
