Girl Scout Cookies Sold on Black Market Amid Shortage

  • last year
Girl Scout cookies are the latest commodity hit by supply chain disruptions as shortages lead to black market sales on the Internet. Raspberry Rallies, a new flavor released this year, sold out within days in some parts of the country. The limited edition cookie, which typically sells for $4-$7 per box, is listed on eBay ($EBAY@US) at markups ranging from $30 to $499. Girl Scouts of the USA announced in December that Little Brownie Bakers, one of the two bakeries that produce the cookies, faced supply chain shortages that could affect online orders, and some troops are cutting their cookie sale season short.
