Wild in the Country is a 1961 musical/drama film directed by Philip Dunne and starring Elvis Presley, Hope Lange, Tuesday Weld and Millie Perkins.
Synopsis: Glenn Tyler, a young boy of 25, argues and seriously injures his brother who was drunk. A court releases him on probation in the care of his uncle in a small town, appointing Irene Sperry to give him psychological counseling. Marked as a troublemaker, he is falsely suspected of various crimes including an affair with Irene. Eventually proven to be innocent, he leaves to go to college and become a writer.
