This alarming footage shows a large tornado north of Mount Vernon, Texas - amid a severe storm that has battered the southern US.
Carmen Palermo shot video as the huge twister moved across multiple fields in Franklin County, Texas.
He shared the video on Twitter, captioning the clip 'Intense multi-vortex tornado on the ground north of Mt. Vernon'.
Carmen can be heard saying: "Big tornado on the ground, just north of Mount Vernon.
"Look at that! Big tornado."
The severe weather system has struck parts of Texas and Louisana after it blanketed California in snow earlier this week.
Over 170,000 people have been left without power and hundreds of flights have been canceled as the Lone Star State has been slammed with hurricane-force winds.
