Cinema guide: Half-term movie picks for kids and more
  • last year
A whole decade after the first standalone Puss in Boots film, Antonio Banderas is back to lend his vocal talents to the masked feline once more. Puss in Boots: A Last Wish has a pretty impressive all star cast to see you through as Puss sets out on an epic journey to find the mythical Last Wish and restore his very nearly depleted nine lives.

Next - another massive franchise might keep the older kids and adults alike entertained this coming half term. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is released in cinemas from the seventeenth of February. Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne are back and find themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that pushes them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

Finally - Could this be another smash hit success for legendary director M Night Shyamalan? Knock at the Cabin follows a young girl and her parents as they are taken hostage by strangers who demand they make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. Mixed reviews from critics so far, but we'll let you be the judge.
