A long, long time ago, I decided to start a night. Thing called 'Altered Beats' when I was living at Bathurst and Dupont in Toronto. Altered Beats was ........ well Altered Beats and I needed an appropriate venue to do it. Nasa Dance Pub on Queen Street West Close to Bathurst was absolutely perfect because it was a Science Fiction themes bar directed at Retired Ravers. So I started the night. Nasa had somewhere between I think 4 to 6 TVs that were all connected to one VCR ( This was a long time ago ) ....Wait, I should back up a little bit. Upon creating Altered Beats I had absolutely no desire to be a good DJ or a successful DJ, Or to make friends or score girls or even be a successful promoter. I just wanted a venue and a night so I could harass the living Shit out of' Torontos' two main 'Alternative Newspapers Now and Eye.
In order to direct attention to myself to the global electronic music scene so I could collaborate with Electronic Musicians. I wanted 'Visuals' for my night, so I asked the people at 'Suspect Video's Markham location if they could help me find a video editor. It was a guy named Zack, who introduced me to a guy. Shortly After, I explained to the guy what I wanted and I sent a nice letter to the owner of Suspect Videos Markham Location and then me and the Guy were allowed to take out as many movies as we wanted whenever we wanted, as long as they were not new releases. Like I was saying Nasa, I think, has at least four TVs, all connected to one VCR but it might have been more like six TVs, Maybe eight at the most. I don't remember. I was
