भीष्म द्वादशी को माघ महीने के शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वादशी को मनाया जाता है। इस दिन भीष्म पितामह की स्मृति में व्रत किया जाता है। इस दिन महाभारत के भीष्म पर्व अध्याय का पाठ किया जाता है। साथ ही इस तिथि को कृष्ण जी की पूजा भी की जाती है। पौराणिक मान्यता के अनुसार, भीष्म पितामह ने भीष्म अष्टमी के दिन यानी माघ माह की अष्टमी तिथि को अपने शरीर का त्याग किया था। लेकिन उनके लिए सभी अनुष्ठानों और धार्मिक गतिविधियों को करने के लिए द्वादशी तिथि का चयन किया गया था। यही कारण है कि उनका निर्वाण दिवस द्वादशी तिथि को मनाई जाती है। चलिए बताते है भीष्म द्वादशी शुभ मुहूर्त कब है

On this day the Bhishma Parva chapter of Mahabharata is recited. Along with this, Krishna ji is also worshiped on this date. According to mythological belief, Bhishma Pitamah sacrificed his body on the day of Bhishma Ashtami i.e. Ashtami Tithi of Magha month. But Dwadashi Tithi was selected for them to perform all the rituals and religious activities. This is the reason why his Nirvana day is celebrated on Dwadashi Tithi.
