'Screening was illegal': PhD Scholar Mahesh Naamani on screening of BBC Documentary at HCU
  • last year
Former ABVP National Convenor and PhD Scholar at Hyderabad Central University Mahesh Naamani on January 23 condemned the act of students screening the BBC’s controversial documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the campus. “They downloaded the banned video and screened it in the North shopping complex of Hyderabad University. The students in the campus fraternity movement are spoiling the campus’s culture and friendly nature. The documentary is banned and thus the screening was illegal,” said Mahesh Naamani.
“They screened BBC documentary, which was banned by the Government of India. Also, they gave hatred speeches. We are deeply condemning this. BBC completely hates India, because India is going as a superpower. India is emerging as the largest country in terms of financial standards when other countries are facing financial crisis,” he added.
