In der Blütezeit der spanischen Seefahrt haben Piraten Hochkonjunktur. Dies muss auch ein junger Edelmann feststellen, als sein Schiff mit Mann und Maus von den blutrünstigen Freibeutern versenkt wird. Um den Tod seines Vaters zu rächen, geht er einen ungewöhnlichen Weg. Als der schwarze Pirat mischt er sich mitten unter die Meute und gewinnt ihr Vertrauen. Und endlich kommt er auch den Männern nahe, denen er ewige Rache geschworen hat, dem grausamen Piratenkapitän und seinem engsten Vertrauten. Um seine Tarnung zu bewahren, muss er sich am Überfall auf ein Schiff beteiligen. An Bord befindet sich die wunderschöne und völlig verängstigte Prinzessin Isobel, die er unter allen Umständen vor der gierigen Piratenmeute bewahren will...
