This year’s Sinulog Festival could end up with fewer contingents after Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia decided to pull out the nine contingents from the province that were supposed to compete at the Sinulog Grand Parade and Ritual Showdown on Sunday, Jan. 15.

The governor’s decision to pull the nine contingents out from the festival stemmed from issues concerning the viability of the venue at the South Road Properties.
