Famous Coleslaw salad is of American origin. It means shredded cabbage – so simple is the name of salad that became popular all over the world. A special sauce makes a main ingredient, white cabbage, particularly juicy and fresh vegetables, carrot and celery, adds a unique taste.

✅ Ingredients:
• white cabbage – 18 oz /500 g
• onion – 2 oz /50 g
• carrot – 3 oz /100 g
• mayonnaise – 4 tbsp
• celery stalk – 1 oz /35 g
• sugar – 2 tbsp
• milk – 1 fl oz /25 ml
• lemon juice – 4 tbsp
• horseradish – 1 tsp
• salt – ½ tsp
• ground black pepper – ½ tsp

✅ You will need:
• carving board
• 2 bowls
• grater

Preparation:
1. Shred the cabbage.
2. Cut the onion and celery into thin half rings.
3. Grate the carrot coarsely.
4. In a bowl combine the mayonnaise, sugar, salt, horseradish, black pepper, lemon juice and milk until smooth.
5. Toss the white cabbage, onion and carrot.
6. Add the prepared sauce to the veggies and toss well.
7. Put into a refrigerator for 20 minutes. The cole slaw salad is ready.
Advices:
1. Better to use young white cabbage.
2. It is acceptable to combine white and red cabbage – then a salad becomes even healthier as red cabbage contains more of calcium, iron and vitamin C.
