A public works department contractor allegedly died by suicide on Dec 31 in Tumakuru city of Karnataka. His friend, Rajendra, while speaking to ANI said, “He spoke to me for at least 10 minutes yesterday and he was very much normal. He had taken some loan and he was upset over it as his bills were not getting cleared by the govt. His family and I are very close. I know him very well, he might have committed suicide due to loan. When we traced his phone it was off, after checking his location we came here and found his hanging body.”

A case has been registered into the matter and the investigation is under way to find cause behind the suicide.
