Kern DA handing over human smuggling case to feds

An update on the case of the 16 people rescued from multiple east Bakersfield residences. The Kern County Sheriff's Office has updated the status of the case from human trafficking to human smuggling. The migrants were assisted by the local nonprofit Open Door Network.
