A former biotechnology entrepreneur, Elizbeth Holmes was named the youngest and wealthiest self-made female billionaire in America by Forbes before being convicted of fraud. Her company, Theranos, promised that it could perform blood tests with a small amount of blood. The technology ultimately did not exist and Holmes was charged with wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
