A man aged 40 and a woman aged 41 have been arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of a child in Handsworth. West Midlands Police are searching the garden of a house on Clarence Road following information a child has been buried there.

Birmingham's coldest neighbourhoods have been revealed. The coldest neighbourhoods are where people live on the lowest incomes and where homes have the lowest energy efficiency ratings Greet and Sparkhill topped the list, followed by Bordesley and then Small Heath Park.

It has been announced that a small restaurant in Barnt Green has made the Michelin Guide. Having only been open for around three months, Black & Green which seats just 16 people made the list after a complimentary inspection, calling it a sensibly priced restaurant with flavourful, imaginative dishes.
