Shocking CCTV shows moment gunman opens fire in Handsworth

A gunman who shot a man in Handsworth over a suspected drugs dispute has been jailed. Mickelle Sharp left his victim with two gunshot wounds in his arm in the shooting which took place last August. Sharp was convicted at Birmingham Crown Court and sentenced to 21 years in jail.

The Government’s Ukrainian refugee sponsorship scheme has been criticised after only 3% of applications have resulted in a refugee’s arrival. As of April 5th, 1,200 Ukrainians had arrived in the UK through the scheme. Birmingham had 80 visas approved, the 15th highest number for the 309 town and city councils in the country.
